The February 2021 military coup in Myanmar has led to a growing humanitarian and displacement catastrophe. The military junta’s atrocities and fighting have displaced more than 200,000 people. Ongoing abuses alongside the COVID-19 pandemic have more than tripled the number of people in Myanmar in need of humanitarian assistance. Yet the junta continues to hamper the delivery of aid. The prospects of safe return have also greatly diminished for the nearly 1 million Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh who fled the genocide perpetrated by the same military juntaedia section to showcase your project.

The Peace Ceremony Concert is a benefit concert for the United Nations Refugee Agency in Myanmar. The mission of the concert is to raise awareness about Myanmar refugee issues and call for sustained funding.
