About the event
From May 19–22, 2025, Skopje hosted the 3rd Cultural Diplomacy Forum under the theme “Sustainable Development and Cultural Diplomacy – Fostering Global Partnerships.” The gathering brought together presidents, ministers, senior diplomats, academics, and cultural leaders to reflect on the intersection of sustainability and diplomacy, as well as the role of culture in international cooperation.
The Forum featured contributions from President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, members of the North Macedonian government, and prominent international statesmen including Václav Klaus (President of the Czech Republic 2003–13), Rexhep Meidani (President of Albania 1997–2002), and Volkan Bozkır (President of the 75th UN General Assembly). Sessions addressed topics ranging from democracy and global governance to the empowerment of creative industries as drivers of sustainable growth.
