Event Highlights

Performance by Paolo Sun & Guan PengIACS invited Italian-Chinese musician Paolo Sun and Chinese musician Guan Peng to perform the renowned Chinese folk song Jasmine Flower. Paolo Sun, born in Milan, is the first Chinese violinist in the Verdi Symphony Orchestra and founder of the Tsinghua University European Students Union, promoting educational and cultural exchanges. Their performance combined Eastern traditional music with Western classical instruments, presenting the beauty of cross-cultural integration.

Technological Music Performance - HowlIn line with the forum’s theme of “China’s Future Prospects,” Chinese musician Guan Peng performed Howl, using cutting-edge technology to transform cello sounds into real-time electronic music. The piece, composed by Grammy-nominated Professor Eric Guinivan, blends classical music with real-time sound conversion technology, creating an immersive 3D acoustic experience. This performance demonstrated how technology is transforming music and human perception.
