About the event
Introduction to the 2024 China-U.S. Education Forum
Every year, the Columbia University China-U.S. Education Forum brings together education experts, scholars, and practitioners from both China and the U.S. to explore future educational trends. This year, the 7th forum will focus on the theme:"The Power of Education: Finding Balance and Innovation in Transformation,"aiming to discuss how education can balance tradition and modernity, globalization and localization, and technological progress with humanistic care in a rapidly changing world. The forum will encourage discussions on various perspectives of the power of education, including how education can promote social justice, environmental sustainability, and technological ethics.
The forum will commence with an in-person opening ceremony at Columbia University’s Teachers College on the afternoon of April 12 (Eastern Time). Following the opening ceremony, four exciting online sub-forums will take place from the evening of April 12 to April 14, covering:
