About the event

On January 20, 2023, the International Asian Culture Society (IACS) held the Year of the Rabbit Celebration at International House NYC's Davis Hall. The event brought together Chinese expatriates in the U.S., offering a memorable reunion opportunity.

Event Highlights:

  • Opening Speech: Delivered by Henry S. Tang, founder of the Committee of 100, who extended New Year wishes and highlighted the importance of cultural exchange.

  • Classical Performances: Young artists from Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, and Columbia University performed pieces such as The Wind Rises, Reminiscence Phil Young Prelude No.3, and more.

  • Lecture: Professor Cheng Henan from Columbia University delivered a speech promoting cross-cultural understanding.

  • Modern Music: Vivien Liang, an NYU graduate, performed original songs, followed by Columbia University’s band Ocean Lights.
